“The most unique standout feature is our warm welcome and the “nothing is too much attitude of all our staff”. With this in mind and a perfect setting along the River Thames, it gives booking your wedding at Linden House that extra personal touch to make each couple feel relaxed and special.”

Memorable moments

Tara recalls some of the most memorable moments at Linden House:

“Each wedding is special, but a couple of very recent ones from just last week spring to mind. One was a very small, intimate wedding with just 8 people. After saying ‘I do,’ instead of walking out together, everyone broke out dancing to Frank Sinatra. Such a special moment! Another was one of our largest weddings, where we had the ‘beard bridesmaid’ and party shots for the evening, which every guest had to take before joining in the evening fun!”

Expert advice for couples

Tara has a rich background in hospitality: “I have experience working in the Far East on a private jet and owning my own bar and restaurant. Linden House had an opening at the perfect time over five years ago, just after I sold my business. With my experience in catering and event organisation, it seemed like the perfect job in the most perfect location on the River Thames.”

She also shares her best advice for couples in the midst of planning their wedding: “My number one tip is to find the venue first and take a breath. Enjoy each other before diving into the rest of the planning. This gives you time to think, research, and send out a ‘Save the Date’ with plenty of time.”
